It's tough any time I have to take a car in for work. Seems like any
time this happens, they charge out the wazoo for the work they are
supposed to do, then screw something up doing something they are NOT
supposed to do. Took the six in a few months ago, and had several
items done, among which was to "lube the steering rack". Well, instead,
they used the air grease gun on 25 year old suspension parts and blew
out the rubber. Then they had the nerve to tell me that the parts were
no good, and needed to be replaced.
Personally, the general quality of mechanics out there, especially for
our special little cars is suffering, while professional mechanics go to
school to learn how to deal with computers and sensors. And now we
hear that more computers are being added to the new cars each year.
Damn!, don't the (&^$ engineers out there realize that real, I mean real
progess is making a machine more simple and easier to work on, not
incredibly complex!!!!
