If this hasn't come out yet.... I spoke at length with Ralph Thomas, owner of both Trans Am Vitesse race cars one weekend when he was racing at the road course at Atlanta Motor Speedway ( or whatever they call it now.) At that time he told me the car was using a period Toyota 5 speed, He said it was much stronger than the overdrive. One of those missed opportunities where I didn't have a camera. Hugh R.
