I have always used paint thinner to clean my paint gun after using PPG
epoxy primer, recycling to stuff into one container, through a filter
and then into successive 'new'/clean thinner. Do this until the gun
spray clean thinner- usually 12-15 minutes of continuous spraying. Then
again there is also package "paint gun cleaning fluid"
You will probably hear too that [ of course assuming that you are NOT
using latex paint] if you are using any decent paint- auto motive
quality, that your poor performance is due to the paint build up that
comes from the chemical reaction of the paint that you were using. The
unfortunate part is that you may have to take your gun to a auto paint
supply store to have them rebuild the internals. Of course you could
tear the gun apart yourself.
