moving lbc to california

OK, I'm considering a job in California and want to know what I'm in for as
far as registration and smog test if I take the TR6.  

If I was paying attention to past threads, there is a strict smog test, I need
to have all emission equipment as original, and I will be required to pay
several hundred dollars to register from out of state.  Correct?
