I've replaced the hydraulic clutch parts on my 1977 Spitfire. Here's what happens when I try to shift: I'll start the car when it's cold and the first two or three shifts are fine. Then, it's as if the clutch pedal "softens" and the clutch refuses to disengage, causing me to "jam" the gears. Once the motor heats up and the revs drop to 900 or so, the shifting is easier but you can still feel the clutch not totally disengaging. It did this before I replaced the master and slave cylinders. Any ideas? |
