HI, Mike - and all listers.
Speedvision has offered other great segments on Triumphs, the best of which
is quite simply titled 'The Triumph Marque'. It offers a great chronological
presentation of the TR range from the TR2 in 1954 to the TR5 in 1968. The
various rally and race successes were very entertaining. Another excellent
show is on the 1954 Alpine Rally, where factory rally cars participated for
the first time. Our Ottawa club is lucky to have Kit Heathcote as an
Honourary member, Kit having come to work for the Canadian govt after
working for Triumph from 1947 to 1957. Kit was navigator for Ken Richardson
on the Alpine and several other rallies until his departure, and he has
spoken to our club on occasion of his experiences with the 'new' TR2. Thanks
to Speedvision for making us all aware of TR heritage! JD

Hi all,
Last night and this morning there was a good show on SpeedVision
called
the "History of Speed". These particular shows were produced by
Standard
Triumph and the first one featured the 1955 Le Mans. Lots of great
shots
of the 3 TR2's and a segment on the crash that occured that year.
They
even talked to one of the Mercedes drivers about the crash. The
second
show was on the 1960 Le Mans when Triumph ran their TRS's with the
Sabrina engine. These films were also in color which was a treat.
