Sounds like you were sent a cable for a TR4A - TR6 with overdrive.  They
use a right-angle drive, so can use a much shorter cable than an OD
TR2/3/4.  Most of the parts houses don't seem to know that the OD TR4
needs a longer cable.  If all else fails, order a cable for a TR2/3 with
OD.
