Two anecdotes from Emerald Isle (see Johnny storm re Old Blighty)
1) The Irish factory was in a place called
Cashel Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12.
While the factory has been extensively altered the facade is still as it
was.
2) An old guy over here, now in his late 80's, who drove nothing but
heralds all his life had what was a "special" 1200 estate built up in the
factory.
It had as standard a webasto sunroof, overdrive, twin carbs, vitesse style
wood
cappings (all the way back to the tailgate), and chrome bumpers on brackets
similar to triumph 2000 style. This is not a story, we saw the car about ten
years
ago and this was a about ten years after it had taken a really bad smack up
the front.
I know we had colours over here that were different, my brother can probably
take up the running on that one, (a metallic green I think).
If I can find any more facts I will forward them on.
Cheers
