Folks,
Can't believe that I can still drive (without the top up - hell, it's a
balmy 46degF) in MI in mid-December! Anyway, having discovered a slow
puncture, thought I'd run the offending tire down to our local tire shop,
and threw the spare on that corner. Put the wheel on, and gave it a spin
before lowering the jack then found that the whole wheel is so bent out of
shape that it is unusable (guess who didn't really look at the spare when
he bought the car ... DCO). Looks like the wheel met something immovable
while still bolted to the hub while the hub was moving ... and I don't want
to think too hard about what might have happened to the car ....
Has anyone got a line on a reasonably priced TR6 steel rim in the US?
Thanks,
Tony Gordon
