two chemicals I use for removal of these are "OOPS", any hardware, or 
Wal-Mart, and wax & silicone remover, this also removes weather strip 
adhesive, any auto parts store. Neither of these products is harmfull to 
you skin or the cars paint. Just saturate a rag and soak the adhesive or 
apply it around the medallion, never use a putty knife on a cars finish, 
the paint on your car is not putty.
