top recommendations

I'm going to be in the market for a top soon, too. I saw a TR7 over the
summer with a fabric top that was gorgeous. The fellow said it was "German
cloth". Is there a US distributor for canvas/cloth tops? In the same vein,
how do these sorts of tops wear compared to vinyl?
