Re the two previously mentioned TRs FS in the Hartford (CT) Courant...
The TR4A has been sold.
Looked at the '69 TR6 this afternoon. Ad reads..."1969 TR6, garage
stored 20 years, everything works, $1000 or BO, 860-643-2151"
(Manchester, CT)
It was WAY more project than I want so, as far as I know, it's still FS.
Fair amt of bondo in the wings and sills, still plenty of rust showing
there and elsewhere (one good thing - the floor pans should provide
adequate ventilation on those hot summer days!), needs new interior and
top. Owner not there when I saw the car so I didn't start it - he said
battery's dead so would have to jump it anyway. Car's been sitting for
YEARS. He says it runs, but, well - YEARS! Couldn't get the bonnet open
to even LOOK at the engine.
I was on my way home from work when I saw the car so no jack, no
flashlite and inappropriate clothing for crawling under a car anyway,
but from what I could see, frame seemed pretty solid (don't hold me to
it though). Maybe for someone else, but not for me thanks...Brad? Henry?
Absolutely no financial (or any other) interest, yada, yada...
Oh, the phone number is a business. He gave me his home number (have it
here somewhere). If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll dig it up.
