The kits you are talking about where developed originally from a product from
either Germany or England. SCTOA member Jan Dawson saw them there and took
photographs of them. She then had her brother make a wooden mock up of the
mount, which was then made out of steel. Herman, the guy from the add had
borrowed the mold and is offering them for sale, Jan then sent the mold to me
and we also have them available for sale too on the east coast. They are a
one piece design that uses the original frame mount. I have them on my 72 and
they really are great. We also have them on the shop racecar and it works
very well on it. We also have them on at least 4 customers cars so far and
have received good feedback. Those in attendance at this years Trials 98 saw
them first hand. We are offering them at the same price as Herman, I would
say if your on the west coast get them from him, and if you are on the
eastcoast you can save shipping and time and get them from N.A.R. Inc.
I saw the add in the 6_pack mag and just wanted to set the "development" part
start. Hope that answers your question.
