I will be interested to hear what you learn from this inquiry.  I have the 26th
'70 Mk.III off the assembly line - probably about the earliest in existence
that I have found thus far.  Commission number is FDU75026L. Was built in
August, 1969. As near as I can tell, it did not come with the RAF roundel
bullseye, although I have acquired one from TRF for possible installation (hey,
I just like it.)  A fellow lister (Mike Burdick) has a nicely-restored '70 that
still has the original roundel bullseye on it.  I saw his car at the VTR meet
in Rockford, IL.  According to Joe Curry's database, Mike's commission number
is FDU86843L.  I do not know when his car was actually built.  (Are you still
out there, Mike?)

Please keep me posted on additional information.
