TR7 Tranny

In looking at the gear ratios in various transmissions, I find that the
TR7's gears are closer to the ones recommended by Kas Kastner for racing
than any of the stock gear boxes for Spitfires.

Soooooo, it begs the question, "How much trouble is it to retrofit a TR7
tranny into a Spit?"

Anybody got any perspective on this?
