Kevin's post and several recent comments about The roadster Factory
causes me to offer the following suggestion and opinion: If you own a
TR6, the cheapest and best reference manual available anywhere is The
Roadster Factory's 2 volume Spare Parts Catalogue. It is an incredible
resource that answers Kevin's question as well as what size bolt or nut
goes where and which way 'round does gear "A" fit onto shaft "B", etc.
I buy from TRF when it makes sense because Charles cared enough about
our cars to produce this great resource that has saved me countless
hours in my TR6 restorations. TRF has many shortcomings but when you
call them at 1-800-234-1104 you talk to someone who knows what a TR6 is
and cares about the marque and your efforts at maintaining your
particular example.
So Kevin, call the number listed above, ask the representative for the
catalogue, order some hardtop hardware parts and get it free, get some
good advice, and spend the time waiting patiently for your backordered
parts by reading this informative catalogue cover to cover.
Once you've received the catalogue and parts you need, please contact
me if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help, as I was where
you are now 7 years ago.
