In Arizona, the plates belong to the person, not the car. When I bought my Spitfire, it had the License plate "R Smaug", which was the infamous dragon from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit". Cute name for a spitfire, but the owner had to take the plates with her when she sold the car to me. The car is now named "Lyn B", my wife's name, as it was a present to her. |
