Gee Michael, I'm not really sure what your problem is, on my TR3's there
weren't any bolts holding it together, they had all rusted away!
Actually I own one of the Bernz-oMatic Mapp gas torches. I've never used
it on my cars but using it with Mapp gas on copper solder joints it sure
works super.
For rusty bolts I started using a product called Rust Bomb by Conklin. I
used to use Liquid Wrench rust penetrator. I still had problems. Then
while I was at the machine shop thats rebuilding my dodge truck motor I
saw them using some. Borrowed a can and was amazed at the difference. It
loosened things that Liquid Wrench didn't touch. Its also an excellent rust
protector. The machine shop sprays all the machined surfaces with it.
