This is definitely a no no if you ever want the panels to be straight. Sandblasting works by friction. a lot of friction which equates to a lot of heat which equates to expansion of metal parts which equates to warpage. DO NOT SAND BLAST SHEET METAL! ( Unless you plan to trash it anyway.) Using the proper medium for blasting is also important. Sand will abrade the surface with thousands of scratches.
