My baby is up on blocks right now. The wheel cylinders requested
attention, which has been given. About ready to let her back down
and fire it up, but I seem to have lost the fire?
I have a TR3 1/2 A. Frame, body, tranny are 3 equipment. The motor
is CT73965, which I think makes it about a 1965 TR4A motor, right?
Anyway, I can't get any spark to the points so far. I have 13 volts
at the switch side of the coil, very low volts (3-4) at the
distributor side of the coil. I don't have any manuals, just try to
sort out all the details as I go along, so I am stuck right now. I
switched out the points and the condensor, no change.
I frankly don't know whether I have a TR3 or TR4 distributor, though
I assume 4. Suggestions, questions etc are welcome. If I can get
the fire back, I will get back to the starter problem which is one of
the reasons the 3 went back in the garage. I welcome basic
directions on tracing Mr. Electron from the switch side of the coil
to wherever he is disappearing.
Thanks,
Geezer
