<<I'm attempting to diagnose low oil pressure readings on Sybill>>
know that the oil pressure relief valve usually does just what it says
...relieves oil pressure...when it's too high...ie; above 75lbs....if you have
poor pressure you're not reaching the 75lbs that would in fact open the oil
relieve valve. I was hopefull once that that was my low pressure problem but
it is much more likely worn piston rod bearing and crankshaft bearing wear. If
you are using thin oil you might try 20wt-50wt. to increase the pressure.
Sorry no easy solution although pulling off the crankcase pan and slipping in
new bearing shells isn't the hardest thing to do it's an oily messy job.

if you do loosen the lock nut ...may want to measure lenght of adjusting
slotted bolt so you can set back to pre-existing position after checking it
out.
