Hey Art,
I started my undergraduate college career in a '72 MGB,
finished with a '69 TR4A IRS, drove a 69 MG Midget in
Dental school, and after graduation found a '72 TR6 with
severe Rustitis. Too many school loans at that time.
Presently, I have a '74 TR6 which is fortunately not my
main source of transportation, but would have loved to
have had it in the place of the aforementioned cars.
Bottom line is that I really enjoy working with these cars.
To me it is a great stress reliever, and it never complains
when I use a drill, and it requires no anesthetic!
To me there is no comparison to the Z3. I am sure it is
more powerful, refined, and a better performer in every
regard to the '6. But to me these LBCs are special in
that they literally helped me get through school. They
were reletively economical to work on, got decent gas
mileage and chicks love to ride in them!
Anyway, just wanted to present my perspective.
Regards,
Jack
