Try any of the mild acid cleaning solutions used to take off 'water spots' or
for hard water. Often sold in the cleaning section of your local grocery.
Vineger is a mild  acid and sometime works well. Citric acid (Vit. C) is a
splendid cleaner for hard water problems.
That's my guess anyway!!
