Certain SAABs come with wheels which are exactly the same as the current
Minilite knockoffs (but not the same as the Panasports, Panas are nicer
cause they have a polished rim among other things). The SAAB wheels look
identical to the Minilites and the bolt pattern is the same. You can usually
get them real cheap from a suitable wrecker (ie. one who specializes in
imports). There is one in Vancouver Canada for example who has a tone of
these wheels for $100 Canadian each. They are alloy and made in West
Germany. Yep, West Germany (ie. they are not from new SAABs).
Oh yeah... there is a catch. The offset is not quite compatible with a TR6
(SAABs are front wheel drive cars). So you would need at least longer studs
and spacers. But the guy in Vancouver has done this for a TR6 client of his
(not me).
So that is one (fairly cheap) option.
