Hi listers, i have the opportunity to purchase a 65 tr4a irs for $1000. It's in fairly good condition except the engine. The car is at the mechanics now and it need a new crank shaft. Estimate to fix is about $2500. $300 in parts, the rest labor. My question is should i buy the car? can I do this work myself? I had worked on cars plenty 20 years ago or so, but i've never been inside the engine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Darrell dac@hawaii.rr.com |
