While this is all true (you forgot to mention replacing and moving the
radius brackets to the inner set of holes, and reinforcing the inner radius
arm mounting bracket areas,) these mods, with the exception of the
handbrake cable guides which would be absent form the GT6+ frame, would
only be necessary if one was using the rear suspension from the GT6+. One
can, if they wish a less drastic mod, use the Swing spring setup from the
Spitfire (or GT) which was of course used on the later MK3 GT's. Of
course you will have to change the metal brake lines in the rear to match
the later spec. (Nothings easy is it??) Also one needs to trim the
firewall and floor area of the Spitfire body tub on the left side for the
GT starter clearance, then use a GT6 tranny cover. Now. . . what did we
both forget?? :-)

Well, they will fit the head since they share the same casting (provided
you get the proper years) but they won't fit the body/frame. The intakes
with carbs without any mods WILL foul the bonnet.
