FWIW....I've written before about the gent I know with the '59 TR3 that
he has had since '61.
Went over there today on my lunch break because he couldn't get it to
start after removing the distributor to replace the bush and install a
Crane hi-output ignition.
When I was playing with the car last January I didn't notice that he had
a yellow fan on the 3, and I still got to use the hand crank with the
yellow fan in place!
The problem, BTW, with the car is that the distributor was installed a
tooth or maybe two off. Moved the distributor as far clockwise as I
could and it started, ran like crap but it started. A few more lunch
hours and I may just be able to get it to run right.
