Eric,
Yes, as George mentioned the TRA sells a "Guideline for Judging and
Restoration" which goes into detail about what all should be there and how
it should all look. Their newsletter also often features detailed
descriptions of how to restore a particular component. They also offer a
video lending library covering some aspects of the car. You have to be a
member to get anything (I think it's about $35/year, but I can't remember).
I'm not sure it's worth joining BEFORE you have a car, but I'd sure
recommend it AFTER, especially if you are facing a restoration (as I am). I
contacted them via a number found on the VTR site. No email or web page,
just old fashioned mail and phone calls.
A good general book is called something like "Guide to Restoring British
Sports Cars" or some such title. You can get it from Moss. Nothing specific
to Triumphs in there, however.
