According to an article by J. K. Jackson in Grassroots Motorsports magazine from 1997, the "open" side of the fulcrum pin casting should normally be to the inside of the car on a TR6. That is, the center solid portion would be outside the top shock stud. Changing the position changes the camber of the front wheels.
