What a weekend! For those in the northeastern US and Canada, mark your
calendars now for the third weekend of September. This is a show that is
not to be missed. This past weekend saw easily 500 cars assemble for a
great display. Cars that you only read about appeared; a C-Jag, a whole
line of Aston Martins, an utterly gorgeous Lagonda, a Jaguar sedan with
gold trim (Liberace's?). British cars were everywhere on the roads of
Stowe, VT. Those on the List did well: Brian Thomas took first in the
TR4/4A/250 class, this writer garnered third in the early-TR6 group, and
Joe Merone was second behind Al DuFault (Adirondack Triumphs) in the
late-TR6 category. The weather was stunning, and the camraderie and the
roads through the mountains (the Notch road!!) make this a high point for
British car ownership.
