A question for the UK based listers out there,
I have a late (mk iv) 1300 engine (sourced from the UK) that I am tryimg to
sell, and a prospective buyer has come up with a story about 2 different
heads used on these engines (in spitfires, not talking about similar motors
used in other triumphs of the same era).
Nobody I have talked to here in Oz knows anything about this (I've never
heard of it before, and never seen it in print either).
So, I'm after opinion from those in the UK as to the validity of this
claim, or is the guy just trying to pull my chain to get the price down (he
has yet to state if the motor I've got has the head he want's, or the one
he doesn't want!)?
