Thanks for the info on my problem. To answer a few questions, 1.)the timing
was still on, 2.)The chuffing was only audible when I had cylinder two
plugged no others produced the sound.
One last question. I'm pulling the head and I have everything off of the
engine. However, I'm having difficulty getting the actual head off. I've
tried cranking the engine a few times with the spark plugs back in the head
but the thing is still attached as solidly as if it was bolted. Any
suggestions?
