Eric,
The one made in Australia is a replacement part, I put one on my car a short
while back. And the other may or may not be original because the original
used a stamped sheet metal lid. And with the cost of replacement M/Cs I
would attempt to rebuild what you have first, then if the rebuild is
unsuccessful, then go with replacements. If you are worrying about
originality for concourse showing, be prepared to spend some bucks for NOS
parts. But I don"t believe that there is a point reduction in shows for
replacement M/Cs except for the plastic cap. You might want to see about
replacing the cap with a metal one. Vicky Brit had them a while back, about
$3 each.
