Countershaft bearings.

Nothing really earth shattering.....Just curious.

My buddys' transmission ( '72 TR6 - overdrive ) is apart and on the
bench.  The countershaft has the remnants of a bearing on the rear of the
countershaft but on the front is a brass bush...no bearing.  Everything
that I have to reference shows that there should bearings on both ends.  

Anyone else ever see this?
