This is only partly true. There is a thing called 'firmware' which is,
in fact software, burned or written into the chips used by Mac's (was
Motorola, not sure who now) as well as Intel, Texas Instruments, AMD,
blah blah blah.
So, there is more than just the software available for a platform to
worry about - the platform itself is susceptible.
Think of ALL the electronic equipment out there that has programming
code in it - just because it doesn't run Windows or System 7 doesn't
mean it's not running date sensitive software or firmware.
