Joe,

Well I've surmised from the list that a well kept original cooling
system is satisfactory for the Spit. This includes having all air
deflectors installed, a flushed system, proper fan, etc...This is also
very dependant on the climate you live in. I also suspect the later
models with the larger radiator and electronic would help with this.

I live in Chicago and the summers are hot, but not brutal. I plan on
going back to the original cooling system. When the radiator went out on
the previous owner, he replaced it with a Honda Prelude radiator. It
began to leak and overheat about every two or three days. I used
Stop-leak and it's fine now. The temp gauge goes to about the half way
mark, but I still intend on replacing it all with original.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts based on my experiences (so far!);
