Whew.  got the driver's seat diaphragm installed.

Whoever said that you could do this job with the seat still in the car
must have arms like a Sasquatch.  I had to wrestle with most of the hooks
for half an hour, with the seat on a bench and me above it (figure-four
channel lock) until they all seated.

As for building one for the pass. side, I'm having second thoughts-- I
will certainly make it out of thinner rubber (neoprene) so it stretches
easier- not sure what kind of adhesive to use for the metal bits yet!
(I'm thinking of using contact cement and folding over the edges over some
spring-steel rod...)

And to the lister who wanted the dimensions of a TR6 seat (mine have
moveable headrests):
Metal frame is about 17" square  
12 1/4" horizontal distance between front mounts
17 1/4" from front of forward mount (pivot) to rear latch
Allow extra 2 or 3 inches on the outside for the adjuster / release

(these seats are in a TR4.  You might run into difficulties being that the
TR3 is 4" narrower than the 4 and 6)
