seen in current Chciago Tribune:
TRIUMPH '57 SPITFIRE III, Red, wire wheels, 38,000 miles, runs well,
partially restored, asking $1700, 630-734-0437
so if the 1963 Spitfire 4 meant 4 cylinder, does that mean the '57 III was
a 3 cylinder? must be really rare to find a '57 these days
this area code means suburban Chicago (west)
yes, I do know there was no Spitfire in 1957! I have to assume this is a
misprint, because I doubt the owner thinks he/she owns a '57 MkIII
also '76 1500, "no rust, stored winters, $5995/obo, 414-964-2196 (have no
idea where this is)
never seen cars, no interest, etc., I'm already interested in another car
that's 2,000 miles from here, just what I need is another Spitfire, right?
best wishes
Joe
