speedo question/idle curiosity

During the mid/late '70's and beyond, the US had the silly 55MPH speed
limit highlighted on the speedos of cars. Did this extend to Triumphs?
Anyone out there with late TR6s, Spits or TR7s that have the "55" in bold
face or larger type on the speedo? (I need to find a hobby.)
