I think the need relates to your type of use.  I use mine as a daily driver
and no air is fine for the occasional jaunt about town. But last weekend I
baked for four hours to North Carolina and back. As a daily driver, its darn
hot day by day.

Bob, is 100 degrees in Texas hotter than 100 degrees in D.C., and how
many of your T/R'S have A/C, everyone to there own thing I just think
about the worst waste of money is looking at a Miata with the top up and
windows all closed and 80/90 degrees outside, why even bother buying a
sports car, the top down is where it's at. just me & my .02
