Ford I.D. (Non LBC)

Hi, Listers,

Just as a matter of interest, can anyone in the US put a name to a Ford I've
seen in many movies?

I think it is the US equivalent of the Granada but is front wheel drive. It
is a four seater saloon and has an oval aperture around its front panel
badge.

Perhaps the best known movie it has been in is 'Robocop', in which it was
the police car. The Griswolds also had one in 'National Lampoon's Xmas
Vacation'.

Any idea, anybody?
