Just to add another comment on the anti-freeze thread. Per a an e-mail to one of the major antifreeze manufactures, I asked about using de-minerialized water. His comment back was, that being the same as distilled water is it the "cat's meow" as he put. But he did add that softened water from home water softeners is too good at all for cooling system. I assume that they replaces the minerals ( calcium, magnesium ) with salt. FWIW Dave Simpson NE OHIO 76 Spitfire |
