Paul,
The best thing I've come across for cleaning whitewall tires (once yours get
dirty) is DL Permatex Blue Label Hand Cleaner used with a nylon scrub brush
and water.
This combination works great for *any* vinyl or leather surface. It will
make white soft tops look like new except for the stitching and scratches,
i.e. it will remove all of the dirt.
I have tried many commercial vinyl cleaners on the market and nothing else
has come close, especially at 1 or 2 dollars per container (DL Hand Cleaner
should be on the shelf next to the Go-Jo and other hand cleaners).
