Noticing a similar feel on my 75 SPIT.  Kinda suspect the buildup of
some material in the cylinder, which will eventually mean a rebuild or
replace.  I've had the same in a VW once and found the MC had a ridge of
some type built up inside, hence the "double click" feel.
