        When I did the body work on my `4 I used various diameters of 
        tubular closed cell foam. It was flexibe enough to bend aroud the 
        gentle curves of the wheel well lip and on the bonnet curves. You 
        might want to check out your local hardware store for pipe insulation
        or a pool supply house for children's floatation devices. Pipe 
        insulation comes pre-split which makes it easier to insert the 
        end of a long sheet of abrasive paper then wrap it down the length 
        diagonally (like the stripes on a candy cane).
