I'd recommend it from my experience. When used with a Sport coil, starting
is very fast and the problem of points is gone. My car still wants a cap
and rotor on a regular basis, but that's a 2 minute job. Installation is
very straight-forward, just be careful to secure the leads to the pickup
well. If they move, the pickup moves and then the car runs lousy.
