Harry,
When I brought my '52 MGTD back from England to the good ole' US of A, I
was required to display the GB placard until I got US plates on the car.
I received no instructions on where it went, just that I display it on
the rear of the vehicle. I have seen the various "Country" plates on
numerous vehicles and no two have ever had them in the same place. So,
IMHO it probably doesn't make any difference.
BTW, I made a little bracket that hung below the rear plate to display
the GB placard.
