UK Weight Measurement

Fellow lister across the pond in the UK.  I am trying to determine a
conversion for a unit of weight quoted on an Elva Courier MK-II I am
pursuing.  

What does 14cwt convert to in pounds, kilo's, or anything else, (besides
stones)?  I am unable to find a definition of this measurement in my
conversion books.  Just how much does it weigh?
