David,
Total up the price of all the parts you're going to need;
add to that towing costs, mental anquish & hardship (ever try
selling used extra LBC parts in the local paper?). Subrtact from
that how much you can get reselling the parts you don't use;
That is a way of detirmining what the car is worth to you. Then
use that as your highest settlement price you'll pay. Start asking
at about 2/3 that.
Example: Needed-Engine cost + $300
Tow cost + $100
Yeah, but I gotta do all the work cost +$100
What can I get for tranny, body, interior -$200
TOTAL (What it's worth to you cost) $300
*Start bidding at $200
