The S was the maximum speed rating (but I cannot remember what speed).  H
was a faster rating and V faster again.  There are not many S rated tyres
around these days.  A typical full designation would be 205/70HR-15.  Where
no aspect ratio is given, 78 (or perhaps 80) is assumed.
